This diet mirrors the eating habit of our antique Paleolithic ancestors. The diet followers believe that eating large quantity of meat and then fasting for a period of time (the way it has been for the Paleolithic tribesmen in the middle of hunts) give them the good shape and vigor these Paleolithic ancestors had. They mostly stay away from cooked food and categorically refuse processed food like bread, as such food is not supposed to be in the Paleolithic diet.
